New Publication: ER-037 "Industry Guidance to consider IHA in aircraft/systems development and safety assessment processes"

We are pleased to announce the publication of ER-037 “Industry Guidance to consider IHA in aircraft/systems development and safety assessment processes”.

WG-63 is concerned with aircraft, systems and equipment having safety implications, throughout aircraft life cycle. The WG-63 objective is to provide industry with guidelines relating to the safety of aircraft, systems and equipment both as part of development and in-service continued airworthiness.

ER-037 intends to outline a systematic Intrinsic Hazard Analysis (IHA) method with contextual definitions which supports the overall safety process defined in the ED-135 “Guidelines for conducting the safety assessment process on civil aircraft, systems, and equipment”.

Kudos to the dedicated members of WG-63 “Complex Aircraft Systems”, chaired by Franck Ybert (SAFRAN) and Olivier Durou (Airbus Group), for their outstanding contributions!
