Call for Participation

EUROCAE Working Group 51/SG-3

ADS-B

ED-194B “MOPS for Aircraft Surveillance Application (ASA) System”

EUROCAE is launching this Call for Participation to inform interested parties about a new activity and to provide a possibility to nominate participants.

EUROCAE WG-51/SG-3 will work on the following deliverable:

ED-194B (by December 2019): “MOPS for Aircraft Surveillance Application (ASA) System”

Background

One part of the EUROCAE WG-51 activities is concerned with the development of ‘ADS-B In’ application and system standard material. This is performed within Sub-group 3 (SG-3) of WG-51, jointly with Working Group 4 RTCA SC-186.

ED-194/DO-317 is the “MOPS for Aircraft Surveillance Application (ASA) System”. These MOPS for the ASA System contain requirements for processing, control and display of traffic and Ownship information for use by the flight crew in performing airborne applications.

The revisions in ED-194B/DO-317C will add CAVS (CDTI Assisted Visual Separation) requirements to support dependent parallel runway applications, and make changes in Traffic prioritization algorithms to support FIM (Flight Interval Management). This includes an update to Appendix H to reflect the FAA’s new Same-Link Rebroadcast (SLR) service.

As ED-194 is a joint development, EUROCAE and RTCA also will develop the revision in a joint manner.

The respective activity has been approved by the EUROCAE TAC (Technical Advisory Committee) on 29 August 2018.

If your company has the necessary expertise in this field and is interested in a contribution to this activity, please complete the Registration form the latest by Wednesday, 31 October 2018.
