I - Organisational context 

 EUROCAE is the leading European organisation for developing standards for international civil aviation. It was established in 1963 and is a non-profit association under French Law.  

EUROCAE develops high-quality, internationally recognised and worldwide applicable aviation standards, which are built upon the expertise of more than 4500 highly skilled experts nominated by EUROCAE´s 500 European and global members. Members include, but are not limited to, European and international equipment and airframe manufacturers, regulators, civil aviation authorities, air navigation service providers and airports.  

EUROCAE standards are referenced by all major European and international regulators and are therefore actively contributing to safe, efficient and sustainable aviation.  

The standards are developed by 50 Working Groups (WGs). To enhance global harmonisation, many EUROCAE Working Groups are working in close cooperation with our partner organisations, such as RTCA or SAE. 

 

II - Position

As a Publications & Training Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the growth and development of our organisation. Your responsibilities will include:

Publications:

Be responsible for the coordination and administration of the publication process for standards and other deliverables

  • Quality Control: Conduct quality check to ensure the process and editorial rules are respected before documents are published
  • Enhance Sales of Aviation Standards: Manage sales of publications via online platform and develop and implement concepts to manage the distribution and licensing of aviation standards and related materials
  • Contribute to the introduction of new technologies to develop, publish and maintain EUROCAE standards and related materials
  • Ensure regular reporting to EUROCAE DG and governing bodies

Trainings:

Be responsible for the efficient execution of the current training catalogue and of the development of new training opportunities

  • Management and Promotion of Current Training Portfolio: Oversee our training programmes, ensuring they are current, effective, and align with industry standards. Oversee all aspects of the training programmes, from development to delivery and reporting
  • Development of Training Programmes: Design new training programmes and courses that meet the evolving needs of the aviation sector.
  • Outsourcing and Sub-Contracting: Collaborate with external partners and trainers to enhance the quality and diversity of our training options.
  • Trainee and Trainer Support: Provide assistance and guidance to both trainees and trainers to ensure a seamless learning experience.
  • In-house Trainings Promotion: Promote and sell our trainings to companies and develop them in their facilities for their employees.

 

III - Requirements

Specific Competences and Skills:

  • University degree in language studies, publishing or digital communication
  • 3-5 years relevant professional experience
  • Excellent written, communication, and negotiation skills in English (EUROCAE's working language). Proficiency in French and/or another EU language is a valuable asset.
  • Interest for the Aviation sector.
  • Proven track record of successfully working in multi-disciplinary, international teams while achieving project goals and maintaining positive working relationships with peers and stakeholders.
  • Experience in desktop publishing tools and digital publication formats (e.g., pdf, xml), in depth knowledge of MS WORD, and related scripting languages

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, efficiently and on-time. Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Strong teamwork and social skills.
  • Willingness to travel (from time to time) and work in an international and multicultural environment.
