What is the training about?
Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) technology plays a key role in modern Air Traffic Management (ATM) communication systems. It enables reliable and interoperable voice communications between air traffic controllers, pilots, and other aviation stakeholders.
EUROCAE has developed a set of standards to support the implementation and interoperability of VoIP systems in ATM environments. These include ED-136(A), ED-137C and ED-138(A), together with the associated ED-137C changes and supplements.
This training provides a comprehensive understanding of the EUROCAE VoIP standards and their application to ATM voice communication systems. Participants will learn how the different documents complement each other and how they support system design, implementation, interoperability, testing, and qualification.
In addition, the course introduces the fundamentals of VoIP and provides practical insight into the technical requirements, operational considerations, and challenges involved in deploying VoIP communication systems within ATM environments.
