EUROCAE Open Consultation ED-283

We are pleased to announce the availability of the following draft EUROCAE document prepared by EUROCAE WG-105 SG-51 “ERA – Automatic Take-off and Landing” for Open Consultation:

Draft ED-283 “Minimum Aviation Systems Performance Standard for RPAS Automatic Take-off and Landing”

Scope of this document is to provide the minimum aviation system performance and interoperability requirements for the implementation of the ATOL system of a fixed-wing Remotely Piloted Aircraft System (RPAS) operating in non-segregated, military and civilian, terminal areas and airfields of low and medium complexity, under Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) and in different meteorological conditions without visual assistance of the Remote Pilot (RP). The requirements contained in this document are necessary to provide adequate assurance that the components of the ATOL system will perform their intended function in an acceptably safe manner for the operations and the operational context. The document offers a brief description of such ATOL context and outline the high-level functional architecture and interfaces assumed in this document for the technical component of the ATOL service.
