WHAT?
ED-12C Training for Airborne Software Certification
ED-12C aviation software standard, developed by EUROCAE, is the European reference standard for airborne software certification and is equivalent to RTCA DO-178C. For decades, certification authorities worldwide have relied on it to support airworthiness approval.
This training provides a comprehensive introduction to ED-12C principles and explains how to structure a compliant software development lifecycle. Participants will learn how to meet certification objectives and implement processes aligned with regulatory expectations.
As a complement, the course also covers tool qualification through ED-215 and introduces key technological supplements including ED-216, ED-217 and ED-218.
WHY?
Why attend this ED-12C training?
- Gain a solid understanding of ED-12C and its role in airborne software certification
- Master the core concepts: processes, objectives, and Design Assurance Levels (DAL)
- Understand how to build a compliant software development and verification framework
- Learn how to meet certification authority expectations and navigate approval processes
