ED-254A supersedes ED-254, ‘Arrival Sequence Service Performance Standard’ (issued in July 2018).

It represents one of the first SWIM service definitions produced and entered in the SWIM registry.

Following early implementation experience in 2023, specific issues relating to implementability and leaving room for interpretation were identified.

ED-254A is promoting greater interoperability and improved implementability. In addition to assorted corrective and clarifying editorial updates, Revision A provides in its Appendix A a recommended implementation example building upon REST and AMQP technologies and ensuring its full and complete consistency with the service requirements.
