We are pleased to announce the publication of ED-348 – Guidelines for the Use of Multi-GNSS Solutions for UAS Specific Category – Medium Risk Operations SAIL III.
WG-105 SG-6 IAS / SORA develops standards and guidance supporting the safe integration of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) into the airspace. Its activities support the implementation of the Specific Operations Risk Assessment (SORA) methodology adopted by EASA by developing standards addressing operational and design-related risk mitigation measures.
ED-348 provides guidance for the use of multi-GNSS solutions in medium-risk SAIL III UAS operations. Building on ED-301, which supports low-risk SAIL I & II operations, this new publication addresses the higher assurance levels required for SAIL III and provides guidance to demonstrate compliance with GNSS-related Operational Safety Objectives (OSOs), including OSO#05, OSO#08, OSO#13, OSO#23, and OSO#24.
