Open Consultation for ED-206A

We are pleased to announce the availability of the following draft EUROCAE documents prepared by EUROCAE WG-72 SG-3 – Aeronautical Systems Security – Security Event Management:

  • ED-206A – “Guidance on Information Security Event Management“

The document is an update to ED-206 and has been developed within WG-72 SG-3 – Security Event Management. It addresses the limitations of the existing vulnerability assessment methodology and aims to establish a more robust approach, based as far as possible on existing vulnerability scoring frameworks. This approach is intended to help stakeholders better understand and assess the potential risks associated with information security vulnerabilities, particularly those that could affect aviation safety.

By providing a common methodology for vulnerability scoring, ED-206A supports a more consistent and informed evaluation of security events across the aviation sector. It aims to facilitate decision-making on appropriate mitigation measures and support collaboration between industry stakeholders and competent authorities in assessing and addressing vulnerability-related risks.

You are invited to review the proposed drafts on the EUROCAE Workspace and complete the comment form. If you are a non-member of EUROCAE, please register here (and click on “Access only to Open Consultation”). Early replies are encouraged.

End Date: 23/11/2026.
