EUROCAE Open Consultation

We are pleased to announce the availability of the following draft EUROCAE document prepared by EUROCAE WG-31 “Lightning” for Open Consultation:

Draft ED-248 “Guide to Civil Aircraft Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC)”

This document provides guidance for demonstrating that electrical and electronic systems installed on civil aircraft can operate without adversely affecting, or without being affected by, the operation of other aircraft electrical and electronic systems. It includes guidance for defining appropriate electromagnetic compatibility requirements for the electrical and electronic equipment. It also includes methods for aircraft electromagnetic compatibility analysis and tests.

You are invited to review the proposed draft and complete the comment form. Early replies are encouraged.

All comments must be submitted by 20 June 2017.
