ED-335/DO-364A (MASPS for AIS/MET Data Link Services) already describes the Emergency Diversion Service (EDS) at the system level. Because of the criticality of this service, it is deemed necessary to specify the characteristics of this service at a more detailed MOPS level, including the relevant performance and test requirements for the data exchange and the Data Link Service provider.
The MOPS will in detail describe the requirements for the Data Link, the request parameters and the data to be sent back to the aircraft.
