Roy Posern (Fraport) has been appointed the new Chair of EUROCAE’s Technical Advisory Committee (TAC).
An Aerospace Engineer by training, Roy joined Fraport in 2007 within the Airside System Development department. Over the years, he has served as Project Manager and system specialist on key initiatives including Departure Manager (DMAN), A-SMGCS, surveillance sensor deployments, and other aerodrome-specific system implementations.
In parallel with his work at Fraport, Roy has been a committed and active expert within EUROCAE. He chairs WG-41 ‘Advanced Airport Surface Movement Guidance and Control Systems (A-SMGCS)’ and joined the TAC in 2017 as the Airport Representative. In recent years, he has served as Vice-Chair, contributing significantly to the committee’s strategic direction and development.
The new TAC leadership team will be completed by Pascal Rohault (Thales) and Siegfried Schäfer (DFS), who will serve as Vice-Chairs. Their combined expertise forms a strong team, ready to support the continued advancement of global aviation standards.
