ED-133A supersedes ED-133 (June 2009). It defines the interface between different instances of civilian ATC Flight Data Processing Systems (FDPS), in support of En-route and Terminal ATC Operations.
This updated document enhances ground interoperability between ATC systems.
The main changes are:
– Units sequence management increasing flexibility in responsibility determination through Delegation, SKIP, No_Contact, etc.
– Redesign of coordination and transfer management including electronic negotiation, advance releases, etc.
– Redesign of the Flight Script allowing advance constraint management.
– TMA management.
– Exchange of Aircraft Trajectory Data (ADS-C).
– Failsafe mechanisms to guarantee safe operations.
– Updates optimization in order to enable silent coordination and transfer.
– Capability to include certain functionalities optionally.
ED-133A comes with Supplementary Material, the link to which is contained in the Foreword and in Chapter 2.3 of the Standard.
