We are pleased to announce the availability of the following draft EUROCAE document prepared by EUROCAE WG-107 DME Infrastructure supporting PBN Positioning:
- ED-57A: MOPS for Distance Measuring Equipment (DME/N and DME/P) (Ground Equipment).
WG-107 is tasked to revise the existing EUROCAE Document ED-57 “Minimum Performance Specification for Distance Measuring Equipment (DME/N and DME/P) – Ground Equipment” and to develop a new document “Minimum Aviation Systems Performance Specification (MASPS) for DME Infrastructure Supporting PBN Positioning”.
This document supersedes ED-57 (December 1986). The document has been updated to bring the standard in line with current equipment capabilities of DME/N while maintaining compatibility with ICAO Annex 10 and FAA-E-37016. The specifications related with DME/P have not been changed. As compared with the previous version, the main changes are listed in APPENDIX A.
