We are pleased to announce the publication of ED-253 “OSED for Automation and Emergency Recovery.”
Operational Services and Environment Definition (OSED) for RPAS Automation & Emergency Recovery functions. This OSED provides a basis for assessing and establishing operational, safety, performance, and interoperability requirements for the A&ER capabilities for an Remote Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS) flying in non-segregated airspace. This document seeks to characterize those differentiated attributes of RPAS and define their relationship to air traffic services, other airspace participants, and operating environments of the defined airspace.
