The Interim Publication & Training Coordinator oversees the full lifecycle of the organisation’s publishing activities and training programme. The role ensures that technical standards and related publications are produced to high editorial quality and published efficiently, while also managing and developing the training portfolio in line with industry needs. The job holder coordinates projects, supports digitalisation initiatives, and maintains effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The role requires strong communication skills, the ability to work independently, and effective collaboration with internal teams and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks
Interim replacement of Publication & Training Manager (8‑month parental leave): During this period, act as the primary lead for EUROCAE’s training activities, coordinate the publications editorial calendar, and ensure the continuity and quality of all publications.
- Publications:
- Management of publications and digital editing.
- Managing editorial processes in coordination with Technical Programme managers and finalising documents before publication, ensuring compliance with editorial rules and quality standards.
- Publishing standards on the EUROCAE Management Portal and maintaining the associated database.
- Contributing to the organisation’s publication strategy and identifying new distribution opportunities.
- Leading the digitalisation of standards and supporting the deployment of new formats (XML, structured formats, HTML).
- Supporting the design, review, and publication of communication materials, ensuring alignment with branding and editorial guidelines.
- Driving the further development of EUROCAE’s Technical Work Programme with regards to specific portfolio covered.
- Training:
- Management of training activities
- Preparing and organising EUROCAE training sessions (classroom, online, in-house).
- Creating annual training agenda.
- Adding and maintaining sessions information online (EUROCAE website).
- Following participant registration streamline.
- Developing training programmes inline with the industry needs.
- Managing and supporting the Lead and Support trainers.
- Supporting training participants and their organisations.
- Others:
- Preparing and organising or contributing to specific EUROCAE events, such as EUROCAE Symposium, workshops and other events as necessary.
- Contributing to continuous improvement of EUROCAE procedures (Quality Management System).
- Assisting the Director General and Director Technical Programme in other matters, as necessary.
Candidate Profile
- Education: minimum Bachelor’s degree in publishing, education or a related field.
- Languages: Excellent written and verbal communication in English is essential (TOEFL score 5.0 or higher or equivalent; writing specimen will be requested). A good working level of French or another EU language is a distinct asset.
- Technical Skills:
- In depth knowledge of Microsoft WORD, and related scripting languages
- Configuration control, developing and maintaining templates
- Experience in desktop publishing tools and digital publication formats (e.g. word, pdf, xml)
- Knowledge of structured content authoring
- Copyright and IPR knowledge
- Experience in contract management and negociation for a large portfolio of diverse training services
- Soft Skills:
- Autonomous, highly creative and proactive, with the ability to manage complex tasks and tight deadlines. You should be a collaborative team player comfortable in a multicultural environment.
- Help produce diverse communications products to complement major work, e.g. briefs, abstracts, one-pagers.
- Work with several team members but also independently with limited supervision.
- Willingness to travel (from time to time) and work in an international and multicultural environment.
