Join WG-62 and Develop Standards for GNSS-Aided Inertial Systems in Civil Aviation
WG-62 has launched a new activity to develop Minimum Operational Performance Standards (MOPS) for Dual-Frequency Multi-Constellation (DFMC) GNSS-Aided Inertial Systems, in close collaboration with RTCA SC-159. The new standard will define performance requirements for inertial and attitude heading reference systems supported by DFMC GNSS signals, strengthening resilience against intentional radio frequency interference (RFI) through robust detection, mitigation, and recovery capabilities.
This work will contribute to the next generation of resilient navigation systems by supporting safer and more reliable civil aviation operations in increasingly challenging GNSS environments.
WG-62 is looking for additional experts to contribute to the development of the new MOPS and is also seeking document editors to help prepare the standard. The kick-off meeting for this activity will take place on 16 July 2026 (15:00–16:00 CEST), during which the editors will be elected.

Join WG-80 and Shape the Future Regulatory Framework for Hydrogen-Powered Aviation
WG-80 is expanding its activities to develop a coordinated set of guidance documents that will support the certification and safe integration of hydrogen-powered aircraft into the future aviation ecosystem. As hydrogen technologies continue to mature, internationally harmonised standards will play a key role in enabling certification, ensuring safety, and supporting regulatory consistency across the industry.
The Working Group is currently developing six complementary standards covering hydrogen aircraft storage and distribution, hydrogen fuel cell propulsion, certification approaches, terminology, and liquid hydrogen fueling performance and safety. Together, these documents will establish a comprehensive framework supporting the development and certification of hydrogen-powered aircraft.
WG-80 is seeking CS-23 experts with experience in hydrogen storage systems, high-pressure gas systems and distribution architectures, aircraft systems integration for alternative fuels, fueling infrastructure and liquid hydrogen transfer technologies, as well as operational safety and performance assessment for hydrogen-fuelled aircraft.

Join WG-136 and Drive the Digital Transformation of Aviation Certification
The aviation industry is entering a new era of digital certification, moving from traditional document-based processes towards a real-time, data-centric approach. Building on the foundations established by the Clean Aviation CONCERTO project, this transformation has the potential to significantly improve efficiency, transparency, and collaboration between applicants and certification authorities.
To support this evolution, EUROCAE launched WG-136 “Digital Regulations and Certification Framework” and will establish a common framework for digital data exchange between applicants and airworthiness authorities, supporting the implementation of EASA’s digital transformation roadmap and enabling a more efficient, standardised certification process across the aviation sector.
WG-136 is seeking experts with experience in airworthiness and certification, regulatory affairs, digital engineering, systems engineering, digital data exchange, model-based approaches, IT solutions for certification, and aviation digital transformation. Participation is encouraged from aircraft and avionics manufacturers, regulators, certification specialists, software developers, and other stakeholders involved in certification activities.
The Kick-off Meeting will take place on 21 September 2026 at the EUROCAE Headquarters in Saint-Denis, France. The Working Group’s detailed scope and first activities will be further refined during the initial meetings.

Join New WG-137 and Shape the Future of Service-Oriented Air Traffic Management
The European ATM Master Plan 2025 introduced Strategic Deployment Objective (SDO #8), establishing a new service-oriented approach to Air Traffic Management (ATM). By decoupling service provision from local infrastructure through open and standardised interfaces, this new delivery model aims to enhance flexibility, scalability, resilience, and innovation across the European ATM network.
To support this transformation, EUROCAE launched WG-137 “Service Oriented ATM Architecture” to develop the standards required to enable the implementation of this new ATM service delivery model. The Working Group will define the level of service decomposition and interoperability needed to support service-oriented architectures, while also addressing the certification and declaration requirements established by EASA and National Supervisory Authorities (NSAs).
WG-137 is seeking experts from ATM system manufacturers, Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSPs), aviation regulatory authorities, cloud service providers, and network service operators. Participation is also encouraged from specialists in Service-Oriented Architecture, ATM systems development, interoperability, and strategic or operational ATM management.
The Kick-off Meeting will take place on 11 September 2026 at the EUROCAE Headquarters in Saint-Denis, France, with hybrid participation available. The first work programme and taskings will be further refined during the initial meetings.
