We are pleased to announce the availability of the following draft EUROCAE document prepared by EUROCAE WG-14 Environmental Testing:
- ED-14H: Environmental conditions and test procedures for airborne equipment.
WG-14 is tasked to develop standards for environmental test conditions and test procedures to be used by equipment manufacturers, aircraft manufacturers, airlines, aircraft operators, aircraft modifiers, test laboratories, and aviation authorities for the design, approval and installation of aircraft equipment.
ED-14H delivers a comprehensive update to EG-14G, addressing all Sections of the document. This document defines a series of minimum standard environmental test conditions (categories) and applicable test procedures for airborne equipment. The purpose of these tests is to provide a laboratory means of determining the performance characteristics of airborne equipment in environmental conditions representative of those which may be encountered in airborne operation of the equipment.
This document was developed jointly by EUROCAE Working Group 14 and and RTCA SC-135. The Open Consultation version of this document is presented in RTCA format and will be converted to EUROCAE format for publication.
You are invited to review the proposed draft on the EUROCAE Workspace and complete the comment form. If you are a non-member of EUROCAE, please register here (and click on “Access only to Open Consultation”). Early replies are encouraged.
