WHAT?

The objective of the course is to provide trainees with a solid understanding of the ED-109 standard and guidance on its application to support CNS/ATM Software Design, Development, and qualification/certification. The course also covers System Safety & Assurance level principles, tool qualification (ED-215), and COTS usage.

WHY?

• Gain sufficient knowledge on the application of the ED-109 standard.

• Understand the major concepts and related objectives (such as assurance level, processes, and more) of ED-109, according to the applicable design assurance level.

WHO?

• This course is intended for anyone involved in the development and/or qualification of ATM software, including software and hardware engineers, project managers, and product quality assurance engineers. Prior experience in software engineering is expected.
