Draft ED-202B “Airworthiness Security Process Specification”

Update ED-202A with improvement on change impact analysis related to information security of embedded systems. EASA has provided some guidance in part 21 A.91 for classification of minor / major change but the update of the standard could improve this guidance material. There is also the need to identify minimum set of activities required to demonstrate compliance of the change, when the change introduce information security threat on product previously certified without information security specification. The update should also provide guidance for the authority involvement on the compliance demonstration. The update should also develop some guidance on how to facilitate implementation of security update on certified products. The update of ED-202A should also be the opportunity of closing some gaps and inconsistencies between ED-202A and ED-203A.
